The Syngineer cloud solution developed by Eplan and its sister company Cideon is intended to speed up and simplify coordination in engineering - specifically between mechanical, electrical and PLC/software engineering. The various design areas can exchange information bidirectionally. For example, mechanical and electrical designers each work in their own system and coordinate current developments using the integrated chat function. Alternatively, they can also be informed of changes by e-mail. Syngineer also indicates the current processing status of a task or requirement. Subsequent changes in the development process and their status are also visible to employees. Another practical advantage based on cloud technology is that external partners, customers or suppliers can also be integrated into the development process. Another benefit is the flexible scalability of users: If required, companies can vary the number of users and also provide access to departments such as production, commissioning or service. The software is currently available in German and English - other languages will follow. Access via Internet browser using a smartphone, tablet PC or notebook is supported.
