With C2000 Delfino TMS320F28379S and TMS320F28379D with Designdrive Position Manager technology, TI presents its latest microcontrollers (MCUs). The combination of these C2000 MCUs with Position Manager technology creates a system-on-chip (SoC) solution that enables industrial drives to be connected directly to EnDat2.2, BiSS-C, resolver and SIN/COS position encoders and incremental encoders. According to the manufacturer, the solution is the first of its kind to offer broad position encoder support as well as scalability and robustness, which enables developers to reduce system costs by reducing the space required by the FPGA or ASIC on the PCB. The MCUs are designed to help designers bring industrial frequency converter or servo drive products to market faster.
