In 2005, Erwin Fertig (pictured left) sold his company Elau to Schneider Electric. After that, the 62-year-old could have made himself comfortable in the Bahamas. But instead, the "old-style" entrepreneur now wants to prove himself once again: Together with Hans Beckhoff, he founded the joint venture company Fertig Motors, which is to develop and produce servo motors for Beckhoff Automation.
