The 'Digital Shop Assistant' is a new type of customer advice system for specialist retailers, developed by Dr. Stefan Kuhn and Johannes Völkl from Himmelkron. Sales staff have access to sales tablets, for example, which they can use to call up all the information they need about a particular product. The system is supplemented by multimedia columns that can present products in large format with images and sound. Especially for the bicycle trade, Digital Shop Assistant also offers 'Bike-Fitting', an easy-to-use 3D measuring device that allows sales staff to take measurements of their customers in order to offer ergonomically fitting bicycles.
