The Walchensee power plant supplies around 180 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year, the majority of which is fed into the grid of the former Bayernwerk as three-phase current. Around an eighth flows into the state railroad network as single-phase current. Accordingly, the power station is divided into a three-phase and a single-phase plant. Two of the four single-phase generators are from Siemens-Schuckertwerke GmbH - here a single-phase generator in the test field. Apart from the necessary wear parts, the generators are still in their original condition today (2011).
