Kübler offers a new safety module for safe interaction between man and machine. The basic module of the Safety-M compact series is a complete speed monitor with removable operating and diagnostic display for easy parameterization. Thanks to the safe inputs/outputs and the integrated signal splitter, it can be integrated into existing safety circuits. The integrated signal splitter for the encoder signals eliminates the need for external cabling. The module includes speed and position-related safety functions for drive monitoring in accordance with EN 61800-5-2 in the firmware (e.g. SS1, SS2, SOS, SLS, SDI, SSM). The diagnostic function integrated in the firmware enables the SIL3/PLe safety level to be achieved with a certified encoder. The encoder interface supports SinCos, TTL/RS 422 and HTL/counterclock as well as proximity switches. A maximum of two safe encoder connections per axis can be realized.
