With the Compact IO module concept, Grossenbacher offers a solution for series machine construction. Depending on customer requirements, the necessary IOs (analog, digital, other) are integrated compactly on one module. The Ethercat or CANopen standards used ensure openness, flexibility and expandability of the system with standard components. Fieldbus connections or wireless systems can also be integrated after project testing. Technology functions can be implemented in the module's firmware. Plug-in cable connections simplify the replacement of the electronics when servicing is required. The 'Compact Remote IO systems' have a freely configurable number and type of process interfaces. All common fieldbus or serial communication systems can be selected for integration into higher-level systems.
