With the Kunbus-IC RSX and Kunbus-COM RSX serial communication modules, Kunbus presents an industrial solution for connecting sensors and actuators to various serial networks. Adjustable modes are RS232, RS422 and RS485. Kunbus-IC RSX' offers a Modbus RTU and a shift register interface on the application side. The DIL32 plug-in board measures 45 mm × 25 mm. Switching between RS232, RS484 and RS422 is done either via the config debug interface, Modbus RTU or shift register. The same applies to setting the node address and baud rate. 'Kunbus-COM RSX' also has a dual-port RAM interface to connect an actuator or sensor. In terms of hardware, this is realized via a 32-pin SMC connector, which enables a connection to the application by plugging it onto the control board or with a cable. The RS mode, the node address and the baud rate are set via DIP switches or the Config Debug interface. An 8-pin PCB connector with spring-cage terminal serves as an interface to the serial network. The external dimensions are 85 mm × 65 mm. The 'Kunbus scripter' on both variants enables user data to be exchanged via a serial interface in any protocol (freely programmable).
