The pluggable X-Com S terminal block system from Wago with 'nA' type of protection can now also be used in Zone 2 hazardous areas. With a maximum conductor cross-section of 2.5 mm², the base terminals and female connectors are designed for a rated current of up to 20 A. The locking latch, which is shortened compared to classic X-Com-S components and is permanently mounted on the female connector, makes it difficult to accidentally disconnect the connection. The female connectors can only be pulled out with an operating tool, which provides additional safety, particularly in sensitive, potentially explosive applications. The terminal blocks for Ex applications are available in 1 to 15-pole versions in the colors grey, blue and green-yellow.
