According to a recent analysis by Deutsche Bank Research, "Industry 4.0 offers Germany in particular, with its particularly favorable basic conditions, a great opportunity to secure its leading position in global competition". This opinion is also shared by German business leaders, almost half of whom see Germany in first place internationally when it comes to Industry 4.0 as the engine of the future. Japan is well behind in second place, closely followed by the USA. According to the respondents, the UK, France and China are also well positioned for Industry 4.0. In contrast, Russia and Brazil are not considered to be well positioned.
