The "youBot" is designed as a platform for research and teaching. Its chassis, which is around 50 cm long, runs on four so-called Mecanum wheels. The running surface of these wheels consists of rollers whose axes of rotation are offset from the axis of rotation of the main wheel. This allows the robot to move in different directions. The two lead batteries that supply the robot arm with power are also located in the chassis.
