Almost 80% of companies consider their own sector to be too hesitant when it comes to implementing Industry 4.0. The figure is highest in mechanical and plant engineering. At the same time, 75% of the companies surveyed believe that Industry 4.0 will make a significant contribution to value creation in Germany in the future. "On the one hand, companies are aware of the great importance of Industry 4.0, but on the other hand, there is a lack of implementation," concludes Winfried Holz. Against this backdrop, the question arises as to what speaks for and what speaks against the use of Industry 4.0 applications.
