The portable, high-resolution instrument delivers very good image quality with its uncooled 1024 × 768 pixel infrared detector, whose thermal sensitivity exceeds the industry standard for uncooled sensors by a factor of two, according to the supplier. The 'Vision Processing' technology further improves the high resolution by combining the 'UltraMax' image optimization technology with the 'MSX' function. Users can set up the programmable buttons to quickly switch between their favorite settings, quickly access the touchscreen tools and insert location data, among other things. The camera is available with various 'OSX HDIR' precision lenses from Flir. A special focus control system offers continuous autofocus as well as dynamic manual focus.
