The Smart Camera BVS from Balluff, which is equipped with various communication interfaces, is connected to the production environment via standardized M12 connectors.

One device variant also has an IO-Link master port that can be used to connect IO-Link devices, sensors and actuators. Access is location-independent via common web browsers, the image processing software runs independently in the camera and is based on the 'Halcon' function library. It is operated via the integrated user interface. Results data can be prepared flexibly for the respective system environment, and complete inspection reports including images can be stored on an FTP server in the network for each inspection.
