Siemens has launched the 'Fast Ramp-Up Challenge' with a whole range of partners. The companies already involved include Bär, Balluff, BayernLB, BoldlyGo, Chiron, Data Ahead, Deutsche Leasing, Festo, the Fraunhofer Institute, Heller, iba, Kampf, Kolbus, Kuka, MAG, Maincubes, N+P Industrial Design, Rittal & German Edge Cloud, SeioTec, Sick, Spinpartners and Wittenstein. After joint preparatory work, a concretization phase will now follow until the 'Pitch Day' on 23 May.

Other companies can still register and present their contributions on May 23. These are to be tested as prototypes in the 'ARENA2036' future factory in mid-October. As part of the 'Fast Ramp-Up Challenge' competition, production cells from several companies will be set up in just two days. MindSphere, the cloud-based operating system for the Internet of Things (IoT) from Siemens, will also be used.

The rapid commissioning of systems is becoming increasingly important across all industries. Companies in the automotive and supplier industry are also facing major challenges: More and more variants of different car models are entering the market, with increasingly shorter product lead times. The construction and conversion of production lines is causing downtime in factories - a challenge for machine and plant manufacturers too.
