Door handle system with seven colors
The 'DHS' door handle system from Schmersal combines the functions of a robust door handle with the display of various machine statuses via the handle's lighting.
The door handle system is universally designed so that it can be used optimally with the AZM40 solenoid interlock from Schmersal, with safety sensors from the RSS36 and RSS260 series or as a stand-alone solution. The handle signals different machine statuses over a large area using seven different colors. Users can control the colors individually to signal the defined machine statuses. A pushbutton is also available, which can be individually adapted to customer requirements using the colored pushbutton caps supplied. For example, the push button can be used to perform a reset function or a request to open the safety gate. The door handle system therefore eliminates the need to fit additional door handles and indicator lights. The entire door system is specially designed for integration into 40 mm profile systems.
The product family around the door handle system includes the 'BDF40' control panel, which adapts to the AZM40 solenoid interlock with its flat design. It is available in two versions, either with or without an emergency stop function, and offers interchangeable, colored push-button caps for illuminated or non-illuminated push-buttons. The control panel can be seamlessly integrated into the door system with the solenoid interlock and door handle via a connecting piece. Alternatively, it can also be installed as a stand-alone control panel. The twelve-pin M12 connection enables quick and error-free installation; it can be covered with optional mounting kits and thus protected against tampering.
