06 - Palo Alto Networks: Using Zero Trust for OT infrastructures
Palo Alto's Zero Trust OT Security solution is based on unrestricted visibility of OT assets, remote OT applications and risk exposures. It combines machine learning (ML) with crowdsourced telemetry to identify IT and OT devices, applications and users. It recognizes over 300 asset profiles and 1,000 OT/ICS applications. The tool also assesses the risk of OT assets by monitoring behavior, internal and external communication and alerts for deviations from normal process behavior. Asset identification and risk assessment are performed passively. The solution establishes and enforces Zero Trust based on ML-supported OT asset visibility and risk assessment. It secures the OT perimeter by segmenting OT networks from corporate IT and protects OT assets with further zoning and fine-grained segmentation. The solution automatically suggests access policies with the least privileges through risk analysis.
