05 - Carlo Gavazzi: DC energy meter with cable loss compensation
The DC energy meter DCT1 from Carlo Gavazzi with an update time of 200 ms with serial communication and a measured value resolution of 0.1 Wh is designed for DC systems up to 1000 V(DC) and a charging current of up to 600 A(DC). The measuring system with DC voltage and DC current measurement as well as an RS485 connection can be mounted on DIN rails and with additional screw terminals on the rear panel of enclosures. The power line to be measured can be connected horizontally or vertically. The current measurement is carried out via a temperature-monitored shunt, the connection for the voltage measurement and the supply voltage via separate terminals. Protocols for Modbus RTU or SML allow adaptation to the control systems of different chargers. Only the energy actually supplied to the vehicle is measured. The energy meter is prepared for future vehicle-to-grid applications and can also be used to monitor the DC energy exchange in DC microgrids and to provide information on cost distribution in DC industrial plants.
