In engineering, the most sought-after specialization remains electrical engineering - albeit with a slight downward trend. In contrast, companies are looking for more engineers in mechanical and vehicle engineering this year: for the first time since 2013, these are once again among the top ten most sought-after professions. A particularly large number of employers in mechanical and vehicle engineering are currently looking for electrical engineers.
