... looking for a job have the greatest choice on the IT job market: More than one in four vacancies are aimed at them, as can be seen in the picture. They occupy fourth place in the overall ranking of all sought-after professions. However, software developers are also a sought-after employee outside their IT sector: interesting positions are currently also available in mechanical and vehicle engineering or in the electrical industry. IT experts are also among the top ten occupations. This year, they have moved up to eighth place (2015: 10th place), which they share with vehicle and mechanical engineers. According to the authors of the labor market report, significantly more companies also need experts who have business management know-how combined with expertise in data analysis.
