What is the project situation like for IT and engineering freelancers? To what extent do they get the hourly rate they demand? The project portal Gulp provides answers with the first results of its Freelancer Study 2016 and its Project Market Index 2016.
The IT and engineering freelancers surveyed by Gulp charged an all-inclusive hourly rate of 83.48 euros last year. This is around 3 euros more than in the previous year 2015. 23.8% of respondents were below the 70 euro mark, which is 6.9 percentage points less than in the previous year.
