Automatic rule generation with network segmentation

TXOne Networks has announced the second generation of its 'Edge Engine'.

It is designed to prevent the spread of malware in OT networks and ensure reliable operation. According to the provider, Edge V2 is the first industry solution to offer automatic rule generation, enabling effortless network segmentation in complex, large-scale OT environments. OT environments are often huge, diverse and flat networks where the compromise of one device can quickly spread across an internal network to all other connected devices. Effective network segmentation is the first critical step in controlling and mitigating security incidents. The 'Edge V2 engine' learns from the communications traffic traversing an organization's network and generates customized OT protocol trust lists for that specific infrastructure.
