HDP stands for High Dynamic Precision. Dynamics and precision are ensured by the JCS drive technology, an in-house development by Stäubli Robotics. The six-axis robot achieves an accuracy of ±50 µm in the standard version. As the JCS drive technology is not only used in the basic axes, but also in axis 5, the robot has significantly increased wrist stiffness and achieves a maximum speed of 1500 °/s in axis 5. Together with a reach of just over 2 m, the robot can cut geometric shapes and complicated free-form surfaces in three dimensions. The laser cutting robot is designed for use with fiber lasers from all common manufacturers.
