Wiferion
Long-term cooperation with PohlCon
Following successful joint projects, Wiferion and PohlCon agree on an exclusive partnership. The aim is to bundle their expertise in industrial contactless energy supply.
Since PohlCon launched the Wireless Charging Protection System (WCPS), a suitable floor installation solution for the etaLINK inductive charging system from Wiferion, numerous joint projects have been successfully completed. The two companies are now intensifying their collaboration with a strategic technology partnership. This was sealed at the light+building trade fair in Frankfurt with the joint signing of a cooperation agreement.
In future, the two companies will focus exclusively on joint solutions for projects that require flush-to-floor integration of charging solutions. They are also pooling their sales and marketing activities in the field of wireless charging and intend to jointly develop new charging solutions for automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
The first benefits of the combination of inductive charging technology and charging infrastructure can be seen at the Toyota Material Handling plant in Mjölby. The forklift trucks produced there have now been automated by driverless transport systems (AGVs) from the manufacturer EA Mobile Robotics. The combination of WCPS and etaLINK enables the AGVs to be loaded directly at the workstations during the specified downtimes. The forklift components are assembled at the same time - this not only saves Toyota space for separate charging stations, but also time.
