Delta was founded in Taiwan in 1971 and has been operating its EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp near Amsterdam since 1995. The provider of energy-saving solutions with core competencies in power electronics and automation is divided into the Power Electronics, Infrastructure and Automation divisions. The focus of activities at the new location in Stuttgart is on robotics development for the local market and for Europe. New AI and robotics solutions are to be developed from the new location, and the branch will also house the Robotics Training Center for southern Germany.

Delta's cobots are designed for quick deployment and easy operation, offering plug-and-play functionality and intuitive programming. The cobot portfolio supports payloads of up to 30 kg, offers reaches of up to 1,800 mm and is compatible with Ethercat, Codesys and Modbus. This ensures the required precision for typical target applications such as pick & place, palletizing and welding.

"We are delighted to now have a local presence here in south-west Germany, one of the most innovative regions in Europe, and want to drive forward the development of new AI and robotics solutions from here. Delta has found extremely valuable location factors in this promising cluster of renowned universities, a high level of inventiveness and the highly developed industrial environment of mechanical engineering and supplier companies," commented Michael Mayer-Rosa, Head of IRS (Intelligent Robot System) at Delta.

In addition to the Robotics division, the EVCS (Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions) division will also be on site in Stuttgart to be the point of contact for European car manufacturers with regard to charging electric vehicles.
