Automated transportation of heavy goods

Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) launches the MiR500 transport robot onto the market. With a payload of 500 kg and a large load-bearing surface, it can automatically pick up, transport and deliver pallets at speeds of up to 7.2 km/h, among other things.

The transport robot is the size of a standard Euro pallet and is particularly suitable for autonomous transportation. The specially developed 'MiR500 Pallet Lift' and 'MiR500 Pallet Rack' attachment modules ensure stable handling and safe transportation. Thanks to modern sensor systems and safety software, the robot maneuvers confidently in dynamic environments, according to the manufacturer. It avoids obstacles and people and independently finds the fastest route to its destination. It also meets all the safety standards required for TÜV certification, such as ISO/EN 13489. The robot can be set up, programmed and operated quickly without any special expert knowledge or prior experience. Add-on modules such as pallet lifter, conveyor belt or robot arm are easy to install and replace.
