iT Engineering Software Innovations presents IIoT Building Blocks for the digitalization of production. The IIoT Building Blocks support the complete process of industrial data processing.
Softing expands the 'edgePlug' family with edgePlug Fanuc CNC. The Linux-based Docker container provides control data for use in Siemens Industrial Edge applications and connects controllers with applications in the Industrial Edge. The new Docker container can be used to read machine and production data from Fanuc CNC product series. edgePlug Sinumerik CNC has been available since May 2022 for accessing data from 840D CNC controllers. The edgePlugs can be configured via the integrated Siemens Industrial Information Hub (IIH) tool. The license model is scalable and is based on the number of control connections required. The software solution can be used for edge, cloud and on-premise applications that require access to control or machine data. It uses Ether- net to connect to the controllers. The applications use the OPC UA Server or MQTT Broker for data access.
