German automotive supplier Bosch is investing over 100 million euros in a new plant in Mexico: a new smart factory for electronic components is to be built in the city of Celaya in the state of Guanajuato by 2019, creating 1,200 additional jobs.

With a total site area of 170,000 square meters, the location has capacity for further expansion in the future. A logistics center for Mexico is also to be built on the neighboring property, which will also serve as a warehouse for the new plant.
