Hanover Fair 2018New products at the industrial trade fair

Ipf electronic has expanded its OC53 camera sensor range. Previously, the series consisted of around 40 different contour-based compact devices with focal lengths of 10 mm, 12 mm and 16 mm and working distances of 50 mm to 300 mm as well as camera sensors with C-mount lens mount. A total of 17 camera sensors have now been added that have Profinet onboard and therefore a corresponding interface to the Industrial Ethernet standard. The devices are equipped with a more powerful processor, which increases the computing power of the camera sensors. This has a particular impact on automatic position tracking (360° partial detection eliminates the need for mechanical alignment of test objects) as well as on code and character recognition thanks to an accelerated response time and faster image processing of the devices. The range includes both compact devices with integrated lighting and fixed lens as well as camera sensors with C-mount lens mount and integrated flash controller for controlling external lighting. All cameras can also be configured during the production process via a web interface suitable for any standard browser. A new feature for all models is a multi-viewer display, which enables up to 16 camera sensors to be visualized simultaneously on a large screen in real time using the web interface.
