At the end of February, the Nuremberg exhibition halls made way for everything to do with embedded systems technology. Computer&AUTOMATION presents a selection of new products that were on show at the embedded world 2019 stands.
Moxa's IIoT Edge Gateway is available with Microsoft Azure IoT Edge pre-installed. According to the manufacturer, it offers Azure users a user-friendly solution to extend their IT infrastructure and enable OT data connectivity with their industrial applications. To achieve further OT/IT convergence, the industrial edge gateway is also optimized for IIoT applications in factory automation, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), the energy industry and the oil and gas sector, and includes long-term Linux support for 10 years. The compact edge gateway is based on an Arm Cortex A8 1 GHz processor and is designed for industrial IT environments. It includes numerous advantages, such as an industrial, fanless design and the option of top-hat rail mounting. It also offers an extended operating temperature of -40 to 70°C and dual auto-sensing (10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports).
