Embedded ComputingNew products at embedded world 2019
At the end of February, the Nuremberg exhibition halls made way for everything to do with embedded systems technology. Computer&AUTOMATION presents a selection of new products that were on show at the embedded world 2019 stands.

Numcad will showcase its new CNC64 product portfolio, a complete real-time software solution based on Intervalzero's RTX64 platform, which transforms Windows into an RTOS. All necessary components have been adapted to the RTX64 platform to offer a purely software-based control for CNC machines. The CNC control uses G-code according to DIN 66025 and supports CAM-generated files. The software enables the control of machines and robots. The flexible user interface can be customized for each machine according to user requirements with the integrated designer for individual user screens. The flexible HMI configuration allows easy setup of different user profiles (from operator to administrator). The mathematical models help to increase the accuracy and speed of the CNC machine's motion calculations. As the system consists entirely of component-based software, the user is free to decide which hardware to use. The open design also allows users to add their own functionalities in C/C++. The concept behind this flexibility, according to the manufacturer, is that by using standardized software components and interfaces in conjunction with the RTX64 base, Numcad transforms any industrial PC with Windows10 into a real-time device with 64-bit and multi-core support with up to 128 gytes of memory.
