25 years of GoogleSearch terms as a mirror of the recent past
Sometimes it's "schüler vz", sometimes "coronavirus": the trends among Google searches show very clearly which topics Germans have shown particular interest in over the years.

In 2007, both "schülervz" and "schüler vz" were among the top five candidates for Google newcomers. The social network as an offshoot of "studiVZ" enjoyed great popularity at the time - until Facebook became increasingly popular shortly afterwards.
