With the KGS-2461, KTI has an industrial switch in its range that can supply 24 connected end devices with up to 30 W each (PoE+/High-PoE) via its copper ports. This operating range makes it particularly suitable for operating cameras or access points in industry, logistics and all other areas where no separate power source is available to supply the end devices. Alternatively, four of the 24 ports can be converted to dual-speed fiber optic ports using SFP inserts. The switch offers extensive Layer 2 and Layer 3 functions. It can also be used as a DHCP server. The configuration upload and download option makes it easy to restore or duplicate the switch settings. The device supports 'Green Ethernet', as the shutdown of inactive ports reduces power consumption to the actual requirement. An integrated alarm relay provides information about power or connection failures on glass and copper ports. Other safety features include redundant power supply in both the DC and AC versions and an auto laser shutdown that prevents eye injury if the cable is disconnected from the fiber optic port.
