Siemens patent applicationsInventors of the year 2019 have been announced
Siemens has named 23 researchers as "Inventors of the Year 2019". Their inventions range from a solution that allows older railroad lines to be electrified without major modifications to a postcard-sized module for industrial control systems that works with AI.

Inventor Dr. Lucia Mirabella teaches computers to develop new design approaches. She is an expert in generative design, which is revolutionizing the design process with the help of machine learning. Gas turbines, heart models or 3D-printed components - complex mathematical processes enable completely new designs of objects or systems and make them more efficient. The mathematician is currently researching deformations, forces and internal stresses in order to find completely new shapes for familiar objects using generative algorithms. The topic is experiencing a major boost with 3D printing, as there are no restrictions on the manufacturing process here. Mirabella has also carried out intensive research into this. She used a computer to simulate how printed parts will behave when they are installed in a system.
