The compact 'PC 521' computer from Sigmatek can retrieve extensive data and parameters from machine systems and store them locally without affecting ongoing operations. As an optional IoT gateway, the computer enables an efficient connection to MES, Fog and cloud solutions. Equipped with a 4-core CPU (4 x 2.0 GHz), the PC actively accesses data in the machine or system and saves all information locally on the SSD. Up to 8 GB DDR RAM provides a sufficient buffer for processing large amounts of data. Connection to a cloud platform, such as Microsoft Azure, can be implemented with the PC 521. In this case, the computer uses edge computing to filter all data according to individual specifications so that only relevant information is forwarded to the cloud. This minimizes the amount of data to be transferred - and therefore costs - and ensures efficient operation. The PC is supplied with the 'Windows 10 IoT' operating system as standard. The following interfaces are located on the front: 4x Ethernet, 2 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0, 1 x VGA, 1 x audio and 1 x HDMI. The computer measures 72.2 x 195 x 112.6 mm.
