Bidirectional communication with the cloud
Datafeed Edgegate is a gateway for industrial IoT and Industry 4.0 solutions from Softing Industrial. It is used for communication between devices in industrial networks and cloud applications.
In addition to the standard OPC UA and MQTT protocols, the gateway also integrates Microsoft's IoT OPC proxy and publisher components. This enables bidirectional and highly secure communication with Microsoft's Azure IoT Suite 'Connected factory' and minimizes the effort for system integration and configuration. The 'Connected factory' enables the connection and monitoring of industrial equipment and devices in the cloud - using OPC UA - for insightful analytics. This serves to optimize the performance and efficiency of industrial devices, production lines and factories.
