Turck is adding Ethernet block I/O devices with four analog inputs or outputs to the compact TBEN-S series at this year's SPS IPC Drives. The analog inputs of the multiprotocol Ethernet modules can process four different input signal types: in addition to voltage and current signals, they can also process signals from resistance meters (Pt100, Pt1000) or millivolt signals, such as those output by thermocouples. The modules with analog outputs are also suitable for voltage and current signals. This versatility allows the user to react flexibly to the signal forms required on site. With the TBEN-S modules, applications that previously required three different block module types can now be implemented with a single module.
