Announced at the Hannover Messe in April and now available at SPS IPC Drives 2015: the two new 4DI/4DO and 8DI safety modules for connection to Profisafe or Fail-Safe-over-Ethercat (FSoE). With the safe input and output modules, system parts can be selectively switched off via the two parameterizable inputs and outputs (P- or N-switching). This means that the module can be used advantageously in two-channel input structures for cross-circuit detection - a ballast is not required. The safe power feed modules do not require a safety PLC; they switch off downstream output modules directly. They can be used to implement a cascading switch-off of output circuits.
