Baumer has added a new model to its 'CombiLyz' conductivity meter - the remote version AFI5. This variant contains two individual components: the inductive sensor element and the transmitter with the integrated 'CombiView' display, which are installed separately and connected with a cable. The separate installation of display and inductive sensor allows flexibility with regard to the mounting position. While the sensor can be integrated into the process, the transmitter with integrated display can be mounted vibration-protected. The display is suitable for wall and pipe mounting and can be adjusted for any viewing angle. The measuring device is resistant up to an ambient temperature of 85 °C. The remote version otherwise has the same technical features as the compact version 'AF14'. With its hygienic design, protection class IP69K and made entirely of stainless steel, it can withstand the toughest conditions. The sensor delivers measurement results with a maximum deviation of <1 %. The response time is specified as less than 0.3 s for conductivity measurement and less than 15 s for temperature measurement.
