The Ethernet-based Modicon M580 controller will be a highlight of the fall SPS IPC Drives trade fair. Seven different CPUs will be available at the start of sales at the end of the year. A version with an integrated dual-ring switch and integrated communication masters for CANopen and Profibus will be announced in the course of next year.
