Sales of robotics and automation (integrated assembly solutions, robotics and industrial image processing) climbed by almost three percentage points in 2012 compared to the previous year to reach a new record of EUR 10.5 billion. "We are also expecting further sales growth of 3% to around EUR 10.8 billion in 2013," explained Hans-Dieter Braumtrog, Chairman of the Executive Board of VDMA Robotics + Automation, at the VDMA trade association's annual press conference at the end of May.
