In 2011, the IFR recorded the highest deliveries of industrial robots (166,028 units) in a global comparison to date. The value of sales grew by 46 percent to a record 8.5 billion US dollars (equivalent to around 6.7 billion euros). This figure does not include the cost of software, peripherals and engineering services.
