Deutschmann Automation has had the Profinet variants of the
'Unigate-IC' and
'Unigate-CL' series of gateways and protocol converters certified in accordance with the current Profinet specification V.2.2 and the GSDML specification V.2.25. Unigate ICs are designed as embedded solutions for direct integration into end devices. Unigate-CL modules have their own housing and are mounted on the DIN rail. With the 2-port protocol converters for Profinet, which comply with conformity class B, the FIDO communication processor ensures stable Profinet connections even with high network loads or ARP broadcast storms thanks to PriorityChannel Technology. For both converter types, the protocol of the end device is translated by a script, which can be created using the 'Protocol Developer' PC tool. Firmware changes are therefore no longer necessary.
