Sigmatek presents the
object-oriented toolset Lasal in accordance with the IEC 61131-3 standard, which also enables the modularization of machine functions in the software. According to the manufacturer, the tool combines all automation disciplines in one engineering platform: control programming, visualization, drive technology and safety. Templates for various robot kinematics, such as articulated arm, delta, scara and gantry, are included. A standardized graphical user interface simplifies and accelerates application creation. Thanks to the modular structure of the tool, application parts that have already been created and tested can be reused. The software machine functions (objects) can be put together as required in a modular system. For frequently required functions, the Lasal library provides the user with a selection of motion control templates for positioning, cam plates, path control, CNC functionalities and interpolating movement of up to six axes, as well as ready-made, industry-specific technology modules for synchronous feeding or print mark recognition, for example, for dosing, closing, sealing, unwinding, cartoning and sorting. Version control is also integrated, as are multi-user and multi-project structures and automatic software generation using scripting.
