One hotly debated aspect at the Industry 4.0 Summit was standardization: "Standardization is of central importance for the success of the future project Industry 4.0," emphasized Filiz Elmas, Innovation Manager at the German Institute for Standardization, during her presentation. "When systems from different manufacturers have to work together, across industries and around the world, a common language is needed to ensure efficiency and reliability."
