ABB's order intake decreased organically by 11% overall in the reporting period compared with the second quarter of 2012 (including Thomas & Betts by 8%). This was primarily due to a 45% decline in large orders (over USD 15 million). They accounted for 9 % of total incoming orders, compared with 15 % in the same period of the previous year. Basic orders declined organically by 5%. Service orders rose by 3% in the quarter under review and contributed 17% to total incoming orders.
