Based on the 1LE1 motor platform, Siemens is now introducing Simotics motors from the VSD10 series, which are specially optimized for inverter operation with Sinamics G120. The VSD10 motors are available with both an aluminum housing (Simotics GP) and a cast iron housing (Simotics SD) and cover the power range from 2.2 to 200 kW. As a central component of Integrated Drive Systems, the motors are optimized for operation with Sinamics inverters so that, according to Siemens, the greatest possible system utilization can be achieved.
