ABB, for example, presented the new 'Terra Smart Connect Duo' in Munich. According to ABB, it is the first fast charging station for 20 kW alternating current/direct current that has been tested to support the Daimler Smart Electric Drive and Renault Zoe. The charging time is between 30 and 120 minutes. The station is also compatible with future electric cars that comply with the CHAdeMO standard (CHArge de MOve). With this interface developed in Japan based on direct voltage, the battery of an electric vehicle can be charged with an output of up to 62.5 kW.
