Together with its subsidiary Watt Drive, WEG is launching the modular Eusas motor (Europe - USA - Asia) on the market. It will be available as a geared add-on motor and as a standard asynchronous motor in the B3, B5 and B14 designs. The motors will initially be launched in 2-, 4- and 6-pole versions in sizes IEC 63 - 160 for power ranges from 0.12 to 18.5 kW, with sizes 180 to 315 to follow. The motor combines the supplier's energy-saving motor technology with Watt Drive's modular gearbox system 'MAS'. The system motors can be used flexibly worldwide for different mains voltages (200 V to 690 V) and frequencies (50 Hz and 60 Hz). The motor has a special wide-range winding in which the separation of each motor winding into two partial windings with a total of twelve connection strands enables a wide range of switching options on the nine-bolt terminal board. This makes it possible to switch to up to four different voltage levels (star, delta, double star and double delta).
