Bosch Rexroth offers the newly designed MS2N synchronous servomotor series, which covers the range from 4 Nm to 300 Nm maximum torque. In this series, the measured values of each individual motor as well as the saturation and temperature data are stored in the respective motor data memory and are automatically processed by Indradrive controllers. For the first time, the servomotor can be used both as a sensor and as a data source. According to the manufacturer, this means that applications in the Industry 4.0 environment, such as condition monitoring, can be implemented cost-effectively and without additional components. Thanks to the new motor design and the optimized electromagnetic design, the new generation achieves up to 30% higher torque density. The series is available in six sizes, each with up to five lengths. Rexroth provides a single-cable connection and conventional two-cable solutions for the electrical connection of power and encoder signal. Both options allow the full cable length according to the Indradrive standard, i.e. up to 75 m without additional components. This means that both connection types can be combined with each other at optimum cost. The system cabling is no longer subject to the restrictions of previous single-cable systems.
